Father’s Day 2021
The ARK is Placed in The TABERNACLE
1 Chronicles 16:1-3, and 43. NIV 2011
1 They brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God.
2 After David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
3 Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each Israelite man and woman.
43 Then all the people left, each for their own home, and David returned home to bless his family.
After a huge Day of Public Responsibilities, and the Fanfare of a Procession that involved Bringing the ARK into Jerusalem, David Finally says Farewell to all the People, and Returned to His Own Family to Bless Them.
At that time DAVID was a Legend, and was feared by all the neighbouring Nations. David Was Now IN HERO STATUS. Previously we Read in . . . . . .
1 Chronicles 14:16-17. NIV2011
16 So David did as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army, all the way from Gibeon to Gezer. Approx. 18 Miles, = 28.968 Kilometers.
17 So David’s fame spread throughout every land, and the LORD made all the nations fear him.
When I was a boy, Superman was My Hero. You know, most Children think their Dad is some kind of Hero. (“My Dad is bigger than your Dad”)
Dad’s, We can ALL be a Hero at work, out in the Field, or On the Job, but we have to be like David, and Come Home and Bless Our Family, and be a Hero at Home as Well. David had great Military Victories, and Spiritual Milestones, but He came Home to Bless his Family. So . . . . . . . . Here’s the Question.
HOW CAN WE BE A HERO WHERE IT COUNTS THE MOST . . . . . . . . . At Home?
LET ME GIVE YOU THE 5 “As” OF A GREAT DAD.
1. A is for Attendance. The Big Moments in their Life Really Matter to Them, and they measure your Love by Your Attendance.
2. A is for Attention. You become a Hero, when you give them your Focused Attention, when you’re present with them. Let them have All Of You at least once a day.
3. A is for Authority. Consistent Authority that is fair, firm and friendly. Authority that sets consistent Boundaries with consistent penalties. Authority that walks what it Talks.
4. Then there’s Affection. Be a Dad whose son or daughter doesn’t have to wonder if they’re loved; because you tell them regularly that You Love Them. Tell them, “Hey I love you,” even when they’re pretty unlovable, and you hold them to account. So . . . Verbalise your Affection.
5. Lastly there’s Affirmation. Don’t hammer them all the time with what’s wrong with them. Believe me, they already know. They need consistent praise for what’s good about them; their personal strengths and abilities, and their positive qualities. Help them see the Good in Themselves. A Dad who raises a child who feels they’re never good enough, is no hero at all.
FINALLY
The Apostle Paul tells us what a great Dad is when He wrote to the Church at Thessalonica.
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12, (NIV2011)
11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,
12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

God has set apart for Himself
Joshua 7:11 - 20
11 Israel has sinned and broken my covenant! They have stolen some of the things that I commanded must be set apart for me. And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongings. 12 That is why the Israelites are running from their enemies in defeat. For now Israel itself has been set apart for destruction. I will not remain with you any longer unless you destroy the things among you that were set apart for destruction.
13 “Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the LORD. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.
14 “In the morning you must present yourselves by tribes, and the LORD will point out the tribe to which the guilty man belongs. That tribe must come forward with its clans, and the LORD will point out the guilty clan. That clan will then come forward, and the LORD will point out the guilty family. Finally, each member of the guilty family must come forward one by one. 15 The one who has stolen what was set apart for destruction will himself be burned with fire, along with everything he has, for he has broken the covenant of the LORD and has done a horrible thing in Israel.”
Achan’s Sin
16 Early the next morning Joshua brought the tribes of Israel before the LORD, and the tribe of Judah was singled out. 17 Then the clans of Judah came forward, and the clan of Zerah was singled out. Then the families of Zerah came forward, and the family of Zimri was singled out. 18 Every member of Zimri’s family was brought forward person by person, and Achan was singled out.
19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, by telling the truth. Make your confession and tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”
20 Achan replied, “It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel.
21 Among the plunder I saw a beautiful robe from Babylon, 200 silver coins, and a bar of gold weighing more than a pound. I wanted them so much that I took them. They are hidden in the ground beneath my tent, with the silver buried deeper than the rest.”
Started to think - God, are there things that you have set apart for yourself, that we have looked at and wanted, so we have gone to a place where God says we have no business being.
3 areas today - Relationships & Intimacy, Identity & Significance, Time
What’s the Achan, what has stolen these things, hidden…
Psalm 119:37 NLT
37 Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Joshua 24:15 NLT
15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”
1. Intimacy and Relationships
God created us to be relational, to have close intimacy in relationships. Friendships and in marriage. Trinity. Adam & Eve.
There’s a billion dollar industry that does the most damage to intimacy & relationships today. Media & pornography. Which I want to talk about in a bit more depth today.
P*rn has become a billion dollar industry that doesn’t care who is exploited and destroyed.
Public health issue – hurting individuals, families and societies. Statistics would say that in this room, reasonable percentage of families affected.
P*rn industry, those who make it and those who sell it are aggressively going after people and children with a product that deals in cruelty, brutality & degradation – particularly against women and horrendously children also.
There’s 2 sides – the people (particularly women & children) who are involved in making it & the people affected by viewing it & the addictive & harmful properties are as powerful as any drug.
I’m going to focus on the side of the people viewing today, as p*rn addiction is a destroyer of any kind of intimacy & relationships as God intended.
Predatory nature is going after our children – average age 10 – 11. If you think, “not my kid” then think again. Prepare and warn them and give them the skills to be able to deal with unwanted viewing. Very impressed when I hear of young people who have apps blocked on their phone – part of protecting them. Children’s brains are ill-equipped to deal with the violent, damaging content.
Belief – what I see is how life is. Pop culture is teaching-
Girls – value lies in their looks and sexual availability
Boys – value lies in hyper-masculine looks and dominating behaviour
Both – women & girls are supposed to be sexually available at all times
- No relationship is needed to have sex, no intimacy
God says – you have taken what is set apart for me
Choose this day whom you will serve

37 Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Talk to your kids. Get help if you have an addiction – please talk to someone that you trust. There is lots of help available – it’s more than saying a prayer, but that’s a great start. Resources.
2. Identity and Significance
Created in God’s image as the object of His love. Created to be in relationship with the Creator of all things. To worship Him, carry out His mission on the earth.
Life groups
Culture tells us – it’s all about you. Your approval comes from the approval of others. Blight of reality TV shows – the more drama and the putting self forward to the detriment of others, the higher the ratings and the more important and significant you are.
Contrived and scripted – to maximise damage.
Identity and significance can never be found outside Jesus Christ.
Likes and in with the “cool kids”, who you know , what you own, your position or title etc……
Matthew 16:25-26 The Message
24-26 Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?
3. Time
Phone, lots of things swallow up our time.
Set apart for God - what portion of our time
All very well for you Lynda, Busy with small kids etc,
Same battle – what’s my priority? God honouring or self-serving?

AND THAT MY SOUL KNOWS VERY WELL
(Originally, TRUTHS THAT HOLD US STEADY No1)
Psalm 139:14, Says, (NKJV)
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. (and that MY SOUL KNOWS VERY WELL.
Our Soul Knows Certain things about God, and those things that we KNOW…… Hold Us Steady in LIFE.
The Stuff you know ……if you know how to drive a manual car you just simply do it, ….you’re not even fearful,
And the things that you KNOW, particularly that is embedded in your heart, they HOLD YOU as you journey through Life.
I HAVE A QUESTION, What does your Soul Know Very Well?
What are you totally, convinced of in your heart about God?
And His Love for You?
YEARS AGO WE SANG A SONG: - You make your face to shine on me, and that my soul knows very well.
MANY YEARS AGO I Watched a MOVIE, a Moody Science Film was called “Signposts Aloft,” (NOW on UTube) which was about Errors that instrument rated pilots should never have made.. It told the story of A Liberator B-24 Bomber the “Lady Be Good” in 1943 flying a bombing Run out of Libya North Africa across the Mediterranean, to bomb Naples in Italy, and Unbeknowns to them as they came back across the ocean, they were unaware of an incredibly high tail wind that brought them back over their airfield in Libya in less than half of their time. LIKE flying East from Perth, the tail winds can CUT a HUGE amount of time Off their Flight.They assumed their instruments (ADF Auto Direction Finder) had malfunctioned and became disoriented and continued flying way out into the Libyan Desert Hundreds of miles beyond their true destination, until their Fuel ran out and they all perished.
FIFTEEN YEARS LATER, in 1958 a British Oil exploration team
flying over the Libyan Desert stumbled across the wreckage of the
plane and some of their bodies, and the truth began to unfold.
They had become disorientated , because they didn’t Trust their Instruments, BUT were Listening to Their HEADS and their Reasoning, Instead of their Instruments that Could have Taken them to SAFTEY, and That Cost them their Lives.
SO MY Thought TODAY is, SO WHAT DOES YOUR SOUL KNOW WELL??? What are you TOTALLY Convinced Of in your Heart About GOD and HIS LOVE FOR YOU??
You know…… IF THINGS GO BAD….. Do You Start Blaming GOD? Do you start NOT TRUSTING GOD?
DO YOU Throw the Baby out with the Bathwater?
WHAT WE DO KNOW TO BE TRUE when We Are in Trouble IS, that God’s Instrument Panel is [HIS WORD --THE BIBLE] AND IT PROVIDES US A CERTAINTY, regardless of How We FEEL, about Life’s Situations.
The WORD of GOD, WILL Anchor US, When IF OUR HEART Fully KNOWS IT.
DAVID said these Words in
Psalm 119:11, (NKJV) HE SAID…….
11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You! THE WORD SIN……. IS TO GET OFF COURSE, OR TO….. MISS THE MARK.
AND I DON’T WANT TO Miss the Mark, So I have Been Putting GOD’S WORD in my Heart, to KEEP ME ON COURSE
JESUS Used THESE TRUTH ANCHORS when Satan Turned Up TO Have a go at Him in His Temptation in the Wilderness. [Matt 4 and Luke 4] He used the Word of God that He Knew, against His enemy, and Said IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN.
HE Had HIDDEN GOD’S WORD IN HIS HEART, HE could Quote Scripture, and a Fair amount of IT.
Because HE had put enough of it in HIS HEART, TO ANCHOR HIM WHEN A STORM WAS HITTING HIS LIFE, and HE JUST KEPT HIS HEADING, HE JUST KEPT HIS HEADING, Heading in that Direction, Regardless of the STORM……… and what Happens is that OUR HEART NEEDS TO KNOW THIS VERY WELL, because sometimes when you get into a LIFE STORM, (it may be an Illness, OR Family Tragedy, the Death of a Person or Friend, OR IT, could be SICKNESS or FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, . . . . . . . . . and ALL OF A SUDDEN…. We Lose Our Bearings, of Where WE ARE, and WE THINK. . . . . Where IS GOD. . . . HE’S NOT IN MY ROOM.
JESUS Said…… I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, ….Even to the END of the AGE. . . And So that NEEDS to BE IN OUR HEARTS.
What I’M Coming to today is…… That When WE COME to LIFES STORMS, then We Need to Understand that GOD IS JOURNEYING WITH US IN THEM.
The KEY is simply Just Don’t Let Go of What You KNOW, whether it Has COME by Holy Spirit Revelation, or through the Reading and Study of the WORD.
JAMES 1:2-3 NLT Says…..
2, Dear brothers and sisters, when trouble comes your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3, For you KNOW that when your faith is tested, your endurance (RESILIENCE) has a chance to grow. 4, SO let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete lacking nothing.
YOU Will HAVE MATURED, Because you Don’t get Maturity, You Don’t GET FIT, WITHOUT DOING SOME EXERCISE, ……And SO FITNESS ….. Spiritual FITNESS COMES from Doing Some EXERCISING your way through Opportunities, and TROUBLE, and STUFF like that, YOU KEEP GOING FORWARD.
SO JAMES is saying, that PAIN is a Process with a Purpose. IT’S NOT JUST A DEAD END STREET, That was a Waste of TWO YEARS of MY LIFE, I Endured THAT PAIN, GOD’S Intention, IS that you Come Through THIS FAR MORE MATURE, FAR MORE GROWN UP, and FAR MORE DEVELOPED IN YOUR FAITH, and that YOU”RE NOT EASILY Disoriented, when YOU Get Into LIFES STORMS.
I Want US to look Today at 3 TRUTH ANCHORS
There are Many THESE 3 TRUTH ANCHORS can Anchor us and Hold Us Steady in Life Storms.
1 CORINTH 10:13, NKJV,
13 No temptation [trial or trouble] Gk Peirasmos] has overtaken you, such as is 1, common to man; but God is faithful, 2,who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation 3, will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Here in Verse 13, Paul is offering HOPE to all who find themselves in this situation of Trial, Trouble or Temptation, so that they don’t end up LIKE the Complaining Israelis in the first 11 verses of this 10th chapter of 1st Corinthians.
There is of course a CONDITION, to gaining the help of Heaven, when we find ourselves in these Less Than Pleasant Circumstances, and That Condition is found in the next Verse 14, which IS A PUNCHLINE, and IT says……
14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. …….
Which simply means,
IF YOU WANT GOD TO BE WITH YOU; TO HELP YOU & EMPOWER TO STAND IN YOUR TRIALS, Then get Rid of Every IDOL, and ALL THE STUFF in your Life, that IS DEAR TO YOUR HEART, and LET the LORD BE YOUR PLEASURE, and YOUR HOPE, and YOUR GOD, and SERVE HIM JOYFULLY. NOT HOLDING all The People and TOYS that WE Have to Prop Us Up Emotionally, as we GO THRU LIFE.
DEUTERONOMY 28:47-48. NKJV. Someone Read.
47 "Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,
48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, [GOD LET the People who were their Enemies Constantly Harass them, BECAUSE they Were Just TAKING GOD FOR GRANTED.]
LETS JUST TALK ABOUT THESE 3 TRUTH ANCHORS that will HOLD US Steady in the STORMS of LIFE.
1, The First Reality is:- God Says That Temptation is Not Unique to US as Individuals. But Common to All Mankind.
1 CORIN 10, VERSE 13, The Temptation Or Trial that has Seized You is COMMON TO MAN.
It is the PRINCIPLE OF COMMONALITY.
Everyone gets Tempted, almost in every way.
Like testing and AEROPLANE to see IF it is SAFE, before they fill it with People.
And GOD Tests US, and allows Opportunities to disorient US to SEE what we will DO.
JESUS said to Peter LUKE 22:31, Satan has asked to sift you Like Wheat, . But I have Prayed for you.
I want you to Know This. IF you are being Tempted, JESUS is Praying for You, IF you are being Challenged, IF you are in a Trial, KNOW THIS, JESUS, (The Bible Says…. HE Ever Lives to Make Intercession for US) Hebrews 7:25
If YOU are facing a Trial Today,…… You Need to Know THIS, JESUS IS PRAYING FOR YOU, JESUS IS PRAYING FOR YOU, and the principle that Tells US that TEMPTATION IS COMMON TO ALL, Don’t Think that You’re the ONLY ONE, it’s Not Only Common to You…… But to everyone Else IN LIFE. LOOK AROUND YOU. . . . . .there’ll be Others, . . . . . And See Those who Have TURNED TO GOD’s WORD, they GET INTO God’s Word, and NOURISH their SOULS, ( THIS IS GOD’S DIRECTION FINDER) and they KEEP THEIR DIRECTION, and they GET SOME STUFF from the WORD OF GOD, and IT HOLDS THEM ON COURSE.
My 2nd POINT IS This, GOD WILL MAKE IT
BEARABLE. GOD WILL MAKE IT BEARABLE.
It is the PRINCIPLE OF BEARABILITY. There is NOT NEED for this THING or CIRCUMSTANCE to “TAKE YOU OUT.”
1 CORIN 10, VERSE 13 also tells us, But GOD is Faithful, and will NOT let you be tempted beyond what you can BEAR. (or what you are Able to Handle)
IN Other Words, GOD guarantees that HE Never Gives Us Anything MORE than we can Bear.
NOW… SOME OF US… Have Had SOME HORRENDOUS STUFF Happen to Us, BUT WE’VE GOT THROUGH IT.
I Have Friends that have LOST Several of their CHILDREN.
And I’ve asked….. HOW Did You Get Through IT.
BUT GOD Has Used That, PAIN for GAIN …AS They LAID HOLD of God’s Love, Healing and Grace in Their Hearts,
THEY TURNED THEIR PAIN INTO GAIN.
GOD Knows our Load Limit, and HE Limits the Load, that He Permits Us to Carry. It’s a bit like the Road Sign before a Bridge. “LOAD LIMIT 5 TONS.”
If it is Right On Our LOAD LIMIT, HE will Give Us MORE Grace.
SATAN came to GOD in the BOOK OF JOB, and He wanted to Do This TEMPTING on JOB, …… and GOD said NO YOU’RE NOT. THAT’S THE LIMIT…..
I Set The Limits HERE.
Then He Came Back Again and wanted to DO Something Else, and GOD SAID….. This is MY LIMITS….. You WILL NOT Cross That LINE.
SO GOD SETS The LIMITS, ….. HE Will NOT Let You Be Tempted…. BEYOND what You Can BEAR.
GOD HAS SET The LOAD LIMIT on YOUR Life and MINE.
So when you get into BED Tonight, I want you To THANK GOD, that Whatever COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU ….. Didn’t, Because HE Has Got ANGELS watching after You, AND HE is Looking After You, Because HE WILL NOT Let you Be TEMPTED, BEYOND What You CAN BEAR.
MY 3rd Third POINT is:- THAT GOD HAS GOT SUPERNATURAL OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERING US FROM TROUBLE. HE WILL MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE, OR A WAY OUT… That YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT.
1 CORIN 10, Verse 13, says.. but with the Temptation he will also provide a way of escape, (a way out) so that you may be able to bear it, (or stand up or endure, under it)
I love 2 Peter 2:9, which says, The Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials.
It Guarantees that when YOU and I Get into trouble, even though WE Feel LIKE We’re trapped in a room with FOUR Walls closing in on US, and With No Windows or Doors for Escape, (IT MAY BE AN ILLNESS, Or A FINANCIAL DISASTER, OR the FAMILY THAT IS FALLING APART, Or WHATEVER IT IS, God Already Knows How HE is going to deliver me.
[ Story of Peter in Prison Acts 12:5-19.
I was In WUHAN many years ago, and Not very Far from the Prison There, where (Brother YUN the famous Chinese Preacher Escaped from that Prison in Mainland China when the doors Opened and allowed him to Miraculously ESCAPE to Germany) God enable Him.
Israel fleeing from Pharaoh at the edge of the RED SEA.
IN Exodus 14. ISRAEL were Trapped on the Edge of the Ocean, with NO WAY TO Escape. And GOD said to Moses ….LIFT UP YOUR ROD, and IT Opened Up The SEA, and GOD turned Seas Into Highways.
DAVID when fleeing from King Saul, ends up in a Cold Cave crying out to GOD for Help. His prayer is recorded in PSALM 13:1-2,
1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? [He felt like That. But God Protected Him, GOD Got Him Out]
Sometimes we feel like God has forgotten us, and We HAVE TO try To Plan Our Own Escape. BUT HE HASN’T
HE Got Daniel OUT of the Lions DEN,
THE Three Hebrew Young MEN, OUT of the Fiery Furnace,
And Jonah, OUT of the Belly of the Whale.
GOD is Able to Exercise HIS Options of Deliverance and GET US OUT OF AMAZING PREDICAMENTS.
Let Me Finish
1, Your Trials ARE NOT Unique,
They are common to ALL Men.
2, GOD WILL NOT Let you Be Tried
Or Tempted Beyond What You Can
Bear. He sets the LIMITS.

FEAR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND
Infinity example
What is fear?
NOUN
1. an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.
Sometimes there is a very valid reason to feel fear – about to stand on a snake, cancer diagnosis, facing a very real enemy and your life is threatened , facing job loss & losing your home..
False Evidence Appearing Real - like my example of Infinity
Look at the story of Nehemiah , rebuilding the wall at Jerusalem, came under opposition and threats from the enemy, Sanballat, tried to intimidate ..
Nehemiah 4:14
14 Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!”
Neh 6:8 nothing like what you are saying is happening – you are just making it up in your head
The antidote for fear – trust
In our society, fear, worry & anxiety are at an all time high!
There’s a reason God tells is more than 300 times to “Fear not!!”
1) ‘The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.’ (Nahum 1:7)
(2) ‘You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!’ (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)
(3) ‘As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.’ (2 Samuel 22:31 NKJV)
(4) ‘How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear You. You lavish it on those who come to You for protection, blessing them before the watching world.’ (Psalm 31:19 NLT)
What are we afraid of?
The future – if we listen to the news, commentators etc – climate etc, change, calling good evil and evil good, where’s it all going to end up?
Failure - what if I get it wrong, stop is from stepping out where God has called us in case….., rejection, other people’s opinion, vulnerability, being hurt, not being liked, success, not being good enough, heights, water, not having what it takes to make it – whatever “it” may be, being shamed, yelled at, left out.. missing out, embarrassed, ridiculed, exposed, unknown, people who are different to me….
Fear and anxiety can be handed down….
Stress = fear
Avoidance is not the answer – face the fear 2 questions to ask ourselves - what’s my self-talk, what’s God say about this?,
To break that down a bit – what do I do?
1. Acknowledge it. Think about it. Some fear is normal – but if it is directing your life, it’s time to face it and renew the mind to line up with God’s word. When the list of places or activities etc increases to the point of being restricted, it’s time to realise that fear and anxiety are not your friend, they are not “keeping you safe”, in fact, they are bullying you. A good question to ask: What would my life look like if I was free from these fears? What’s my self-talk, or thoughts here? Anxiety and worry keep me safe, by worrying I will be prepared for anything. Afraid to speak up because of what people will think, or they may disagree?
2. Side with the truth – not the feeling. Any fear I indulge in, grows. Just feeling anxious/fearful does not automatically mean I’m in danger. Don’t feed it. Find the truth – God’s Word on the matter and agree with it Philippians 4:6-7 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Philippians 4:13 13 For I can do everything through Christ,[a] who gives me strength. Romans 8:31 Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 2 Timothy 1:7 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
As we mediate on and speak out and trust in His word, Truth can overcome fear.
3. Praise, worship, pray
Psalm 34
A psalm of David, regarding the time he pretended to be insane in front of Abimelech, who sent him away.

MISTAKES WE MAKE ABOUT MONEY
Give, and it shall be given unto you Lk 6:38
Jesus had been Preaching to, and Healing a great Multitude of People, from all over Judea, because Power was Flowing Out From Him, and then HE spoke to them about LOVING Their ENEMIES.
LUKE 6:37-38,
27 "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
32 But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great,
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (And you Reap what you SOW)
The FIRST Mistake we Often Make about Money is, God Doesn’t Want Us To Prosper.
But nothing could be further from the Truth.
PSALM 35:27, (NKJV) tells us…………
27 "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." GOD WANTS His People to Prosper, in Order to be a Blessing. Prosperity is Simply Having Enough to Do the Will Of GOD with, and enough Left Over to Bless others.
The SECOND Mistake is Thinking We Don’t have the Ability Or the Right to Prosper.

18 And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His promises with YOU which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
HOW can a Child that FAILS, bring Honour to Their Parents? The truth is that You don’t have a Thing that HE didn’t give you, and WHEN HE Can Trust you with MORE, HE’LL give it to you. In HIS Kingdom, the Principle is ALWAYS, “GOD First.” God what do you want Me to do with this Money??

The THIRD MISTAKE We Make is Believing that the Offering is the Time when God Gets MONEY FROM His Children. Can you Imagine a GOD who paves HIS streets with GOLD and OWNS the Cattle on a Thousand Hills, needing what You’ve Got to Finance HIS Purposes? It’s Only out of HIS Goodness that HE gives us the Privilege of Being Involved, because His Intention is to Pour Back Into our Lives.
LUKE 6:38 tells us, 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you again. The TRUTH is that Offering Time, is NOT how GOD gets Money FROM His children, It’s how HE gets Money TO THEM.

In JOSHUA 1:8, God says He Wants YOU to Succeed. Believe HIM! HE wants You to have Enough to Fulfill His Will for Your Life. LISTEN, “I am the The Lord your GOD who Teaches you to Profit, and who Leads you in the Way you should Go. That’s, (Isa 48:17)
JESUS taught Fishermen how to fish more profitably (Luke 5:1-11) HE Taught His disciples where to find money to pay their taxes. [A Fish’s Mouth](Matt 17:27) HE also taught them that GIVING (not withholding), is the Way to Multiply what’s been given to you.

Here Are THE FACTS: Jesus showed People WHERE Money could be Found. When they failed, HE Motivated them to GET UP and Try Again using New Methods. HE focused them on GOD as their Source. He encouraged them to Expect a Harvest from everything they Sowed.
